Mdoni House guest lodge is
approached via a bower like
drive that leads under the
branches of sub-tropical trees
up to the enormous old Mdoni
tree that stands on guard at the
entrance – its huge gnarled old
branches pushing out as if
to form a protective
umbrella over the house.

Entering through the solid mahogany door one is overwhelmed by the delightful
ambience – and feel drawn to the pool deck where in summer the pink and purple
tibochina dominate. Throughout the year the garden is ablaze with the different
colours and hues of the subtropical vegetation that abound in our grounds and in
the garden suburb of Umtentweni

Reception, dining room, and TV lounge are all encompassed in one large area
which is tastefully furnished with comfortable modern furniture and a licensed
bar. Our collection of original water colours by the British artist Bert
Eastwell are displayed on the walls here and in the public areas. Laundry, fax
facilities, a strong room and secure shady parking are some of the facilities
that we offer to our corporate clients. |

A three course meal can also be provided on weekdays, on
prior request out of season. Well behaved dogs are also welcome by
arrangement. The majority of our guests chose to have breakfast served on the patio next to
the pool.
After selecting from the cold buffet of fruit juice, fresh fruit,
cereals and yoghurt, they peruse the a la carte menu and order their choice to
be freshly cooked.

Our
four double and two family rooms have private or en- suite bathrooms and are
furnished with stunning wrought iron bedroom suites.
The clean cream walls are offset by vibrant curtains and upholstery and each
room is equipped with fridges, television, tea/coffee facilities, ceiling
fans etc..
